Where do I even start! Dr. Fairlie and her staff were not only welcoming but absolutely wonderful with our sugar glider, Conker. He was neutered by Dr. Fairlie during COVID, so this was actually our first time being able to go inside the building. We came in for an abscess on his face. We started with antibiotics for a week to see how he would respond first with a conservative approach the swelling went down, but he still needed to have it lanced. Dr. Fairlie was very upfront and honest about what needed to be done, answered all my questions, and was incredibly knowledgeable about gliders. She handled our little guy with such love and care. The vet techs and receptionists were just as amazing — everyone was professional, kind, and took the time to make both the animals and their humans feel comfortable. The office itself was also spotless and very well-kept, which made us feel even more at ease. We’re now a week post-op, and Conker is healing beautifully. The team even checks in with patients afterward, which means so much. I highly recommend them for all animals — but 1000% recommend them for sugar gliders! We brought our very ill 17 year old cat to Creature Comfort Animal Hospital and we are so glad we did. Dr Furhrman was thorough and so kind and caring which is exactly what every pet owner wants in a vet. Julia was our vet tech and she was calm and gentle and great at her job. The office is clean and the staff is welcoming. Going to the vet can be so stressful but we highly recommend this pet hospital. It’s the best we have ever gone to, by far.

Had a great experience Dr. Fuhrman was so kind and helpful with treating my guinea pig. The team was knowledgeable and went through all the options we had. The level of care and attention to my guinea pig was wonderful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Creature Comforts Animal Hospital – Poughkeepsie, NY Our bunny, Thunder, got very sick; so sick that we thought putting him to sleep might be the kindest option. It absolutely broke our hearts, and many tears were shed. Thanks to Creature Comforts Animal Hospital in Poughkeepsie, Thunder made an incredible recovery. He’s now a perfectly healthy baby bunny! Since he’s been feeling better, we’ve seen such a change in him. He’s full of life: zooming around, playing, and showing off his mischievous personality (he’s a total menace to society… just kidding!). The entire staff at Creature Comforts is kind, friendly, and compassionate. Dr. Barker, who our bunnies will only be seeing from now on, was absolutely amazing. Because of her expertise and kindness, we immediately felt comfortable trusting her with Thunder. Creature Comforts is one of the few exotic animal hospitals in our area, and they’ve always gone above and beyond for our bunnies. My partner and I will continue bringing our bunnies here. They’re simply the best!

I cannot begin to explain how wonderful Dr. Fuhrmann is. My beagle boys are my entire world, and I am most definitely a hit mess when something is not ok…plus they are beagles so they are VERY DRAMATIC, and the kindness, thoroughness and care shown for every visit. Recently on a fb group someone (with comments closed of course) was saying negative things about this vet and Dr. Fuhrmann and I had to add my review to the other glowing ones. I’m not exaggerating when I say trusting them with my babies lives is trusting them with mine. When Snoopy was recently hurt after hours, Dr. Fuhrmann called within ten minutes Monday morning offering to clear a spot on her schedule, called the urgent care, and followed up with them as well. Called again a few days later after that…and honestly that is just one small example. Truly incredible caring people. Plus she gives my mom’s dog Sammi the best haircuts!!

Very happy with the care my cats have received. It's hard to find vets that attend to cats as carefully as they do to dogs, but Creature Comforts has been thorough, compassionate, and they take the time and effort necessary to ensure the best care is given. Their support staff is also totally on top of things and always communicate with me clearly so that I know exactly what is happening and why. There is a lot to be said for an independent practice over other places that have been bought by the big corporations.

I have recommended many people to Creature Comforts. They offer professional service with compassion, and always willing to get you in quickly. The staff is so knowledgeable and they see all kinds of animals! I have seen multiple doctors here, and they are all great. Most often I see Dr. Barker and she is very knowledgeable and diligent in the care she provides. Very nice front desk staff and vet techs too!

Dr. Duggan is the best! My cat had a life threatening injury and required surgery. Although she had never done this surgery before, she researched what needed to be done and did it perfectly at a very reasonable price. The team’s follow up care was awesome and now I still have my precious boy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Very helpful and compassionate. Never knew a vet could see our Gecko. The staff listened and handled our pet with care. They showed us how to administer the antibiotic shots so we know exactly what to do. Explaining everything and showing how to administer the medication correctly.

The entire staff is welcoming and compassionate. Dr. Harper takes the time to listen and advise the best treatment. The nurses are absolutely wonderful. I definitely recommend the Poughkeepsie office if you have an exotic animal. They were so wonderful with our bunny Max. Sadly Max was too ill and is no longer with us but the understanding and compassion the entire staff showed made the experience so much more tolerable. I will definitely seek their business In the future, should I get any more pet children.
